Oh What A Night!!!

I've got to say that last night's Idol show was one of my favorites as a judge. Unfortunately I'm referring more to the Judges' performances than the Idol contestants.

Do you guys rememeber when I had Zack in a headlock in season one?. Well, his falling off the chair with my assistance was equally as invigorating. Just kidding, he is truly a good sport.

I had some special guests last night from an organisation that a close friend of mine Katrina works with. The organisation is called the Bereaved Families in Ontario.

Last week and the week before, I had as special guests the kids from the Merry Go Round Children’s Foundation which supplies kids with computer skills who can't afford computers with computers. How cool is that!

Tonight should be interesting, I thought Aaron and Suzie Raw(n) stole the show but who's to know?

Its Caribana weekend and I'll be hanging out on the CTV Caribana float with Jake teaching him how to "whine". it's gonna be crazy.

This is my favorite part of the year - Caribana , then my birthday and its on a show night too!

The Big Apple

I just got back from New York City, one of my favorite cities in the world. I was there from Thursday to Saturday to check out another one of Toya's performances on the Esthero tour and meet with record label executives about all of my Plasma acts - Toya, Gary Beals, Belinda Brady, Ammoye and In Essence.

I decided to stay at the "W" New York- Union Square, one of the trendiest hotels in the city. My room was amazing, complete with a complimentary bottle of white wine.

On Friday, as I was leaving the hotel to attend my second meeting with Sony/BMG I noticed something strange as the elevator went down, all of the buttons were flashing. When I got to the first floor, the door wouldn't open and the elevator started going up again, down again and up again.

I pressed the intercom button and told the person who answered that I was stuck. She asked me if I wanted water or something. I laughed and said, "if you can get me water then I must not be stuck." She then said, "Oh I'm so sorry, I meant when you get out."

Thirty-four minutes later I get off the elevator and the manager offers me a bottle of white wine to which I responded "My room already came with one". So he asks me what I would like and I said, "I'll leave that up to you."

Later, I got back to the hotel later to find a plate with 14 grapes, an orange, and a banana on my bedside table. Now, I'm an easy going guy, but c'mon! Thirty-four minutes of my time has to be worth a little more than that.

I was cool to leave it alone but last night I'm watching TV and a pregnant woman gets stuck in a store elevator and gives birth right there on the spot. The store then offers her anything she wants from the floor she got stuck on.

Now my senses tell me to call the customer service folks at the membership organisation. The representative I spoke to was flabbergasted at the manager's lack of initiative and gives me the equivalent of $500.00 in points and raises my status by one level.

So I guess all's well that end's well.

Whew! This was a long one...hope you enjoyed it.

Idol should me amazing tonight, see you there!

The First Top 10 Show

So the first Top Ten show is behind us, I hope Canada enjoyed it. Some of the kids were nervous, don't you think?.

Tonight, Miss Carrie Underwood is performing on our show, then we head to the Air Canada Centre to check out the American Idol concert.

It'll be a late night but I'll be on the first flight tomorrow morning, to The Big Apple (New York City) to see my artist, Toya Alexis, perform at Irvine Plaza. I have been to L.A., San Francisco and Chicago to see how well she was doing and the crowds love her so far. New York should be amazing!
